Welcome to the Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health web page. It
is an honor to work with fellow advocates who care about Maternal and
Child Health.
Much of our work at the Council is
organized and designed to link you to the policy and political
process. We encourage and work with organizations and communities to help
you envision strategies that inspire action and enable change on a level
you can manage in the process.
True political power resides in the
consensus that individuals and collective communities create around what
they value and what will work for them locally. This power depends on the
community energy to raise priorities to the next level of consideration
and action at the state level.
We invite you to join the Council to connect with the Maternal and Child
Health network on our board and committees.

alert system, training and meeting opportunities to empower you with
information to act on the mch issues you care about.
We have new resources to inspire and
guide you in your advocacy. The Revised Vision to Action Guide and
companion video provides practical information on the political process,
how to mobilize, and tools to the advocacy trade.
